Wire Lying For Automotive Glass
The primary purpose of the electric heating function is to defog and de-ice by raising the glass surface temperature above the ambient dew point. Electrically heated glass utilizes two heating methods: conductive film and conductive wire. Conductive wire heating includes both straight-wire and curved-wire configurations. In straight-wire electrically heated glass, resistance wires are distributed in parallel at regular intervals between the glass layers and PVB interlayer. Since these heating meshes are typically made of conductive metal with high reflectivity, the regularly arranged straight wires create visible light columns when observing light sources or signal lights due to reflection. This can impair the driver's visual clarity over extended periods, leading to eye strain and reduced driving concentration. To resolve this issue, the heating mesh is arranged in a sinusoidal (curved) pattern within the interlayer before being laminated into the glass. This design effectively eliminates the light column reflection problem. Additionally, optimizing the spacing of the mesh allows for precise temperature distribution control, preventing optical distortion caused by uneven heating. This method has become the global industry standard. Consequently, most electrically heated glass today employs the curved-wire configuration. Compared to conductive film heating, wire-heated glass offers higher production efficiency, lower costs, compatibility with various shapes, and reliable operation under low-voltage power supplies. Our company's electrically heated glass wire placement machine is a specialized piece of equipment developed specifically for manufacturing electrically heated glass used in automobiles, trains, ships, armored vehicles, and aircraft. It is capable of producing curved-wire electrically heated glass and has been supplied to numerous domestic and international manufacturers of automotive and railway glass. Developed based on advanced foreign technologies and adapted to local production requirements through improved structural design, our electrically heated glass wire placement machine consists of professional components including a frame stand, rollers, power unit, control cabinet, wire placement carriage, and running tracks. Equipped with an advanced control system and high-quality materials, it ensures uniform temperature distribution and process stability, making it ideal for efficient production of laminated automotive glass.
